This will be a smaller workshop with both mathematicians and physicists and those in-between. A specific focus will be on local topology in aperiodic systems, but more generally will look at topics in C*-algebras expected to be of utility in the study of quantum materials.
11-13 Mar 2026 Albuquerque, New Mexico (United States)
Please note registration will be confirmed by the organizers as this is an invitation-only workshop. Confirmed registrants will appear on the Confirmed Participants page.
Getting Here
Travelers arriving by plane should fly in to the Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ). From the ABQ airport, we recommend taking a taxi or rideshare (e.g., Lyft or Uber) to the hotel and workshop venue.
Accommodations & Workshop Venue
This year's workshop and participant accommodations will be at Hotel Albuquerque, which is walking distance to Old Town. The banquet will be at D.H. Lescombes Winery & Bistro, also a short walk from the hotel.
All talks will be in the Turquoise Room. Only a projector will be available, but not a blackboard. If you are speaking, please prepare a slide talk.
Tentative Schedule
All participants are welcome to indicate in their registration if they would like to contribute a talk during the workshop. Once the schedule is finalized, it will be made available in the Workshop Program tab. The workshop will include ample time for group and informal discussion to cross-polinate ideas between physicists and mathematicians.
Restaurants
Within the hotel there is a local chain restaurant, with a liquor license, Garduño's. Within walking distance there is a food hall, the Sawmill Market, and many options in Old Town.
